Frequently asked questions
Do I need the data:image prefix?
No. Raw Base64 works too. The tool reads the first bytes to tell whether it's a PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, BMP, ICO, AVIF or SVG.
It says the Base64 is invalid. What's wrong?
Usually the string was cut off when copying. Make sure you copied all of it, including any = signs at the end. Line breaks and spaces are ignored.
Is the data sent anywhere?
No. Decoding happens in your browser with JavaScript, and nothing is uploaded.
