🔒 Files never leave your device

Instagram crops anything that doesn't match its aspect ratios. Resize your photo to the right size before posting so you decide what's in the frame, not the app.

How to use the Resize for Instagram tool

  1. Choose or drop your images.
  2. Pick a preset or type the width and height in pixels.
  3. Choose how the image should fit: crop to fill, fit inside, pad, or stretch.
  4. Download the resized images.

Frequently asked questions

Which Instagram size is best?

1080×1350 portrait takes up the most space in the feed. Use 1080×1920 for Stories and Reels covers.

My photo won't fit without cropping. Can I keep all of it?

Yes. Choose Pad with color to fit the whole photo inside the frame, with bars in a color you pick.

What's the difference between Crop to fill and Fit inside?

Crop to fill makes the image exactly the size you asked for, trimming the edges that don't fit. Fit inside keeps the whole image and scales it so neither side is bigger than your box, which means one side may come out smaller.

Will resizing make my photo blurry?

Making images smaller keeps them sharp. Making them much larger than the original can't add detail, so they can look soft.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Resizing runs in your browser and your files never leave your device.
